Lady Godiva (c. 1897) by John Maler Collier (1850–1934) is one of the most celebrated depictions of the legendary English noblewoman. Painted in the spirit of the Pre-Raphaelites, the work presents Godiva astride her horse, modest yet resolute, riding through the streets of Coventry.
