In A Corner of Winter, Hiroshi Senju turns from his monumental waterfalls to a quieter, more intimate meditation on nature. Using the refined techniques of Nihonga—natural mineral pigments bound with animal glue on handmade paper—he captures the stillness of a snow-covered landscape. Subtle whites and cool tonalities evoke the hushed beauty of winter, where time seems suspended and silence becomes palpable.
